| Mashed Garlic |
|
Mashed garlic is a very recurrent ingredient in Syrian dishes. To prepare it, syrians usually use a special gadget called 'daqaqat altoom.
Ingredients
![]() Directions Daqaqat al-thoom' or garlic masher is very similar to the old-fashion stone spice-grinder, yet made of wood. To mash the garlic, simply peel garlic cloves and place in masher dish with some salt (to prevent the garlic from popping around). Use the masher's head until garlic reaches desired smoothness.
If you are a big garlic user and a lover of Syrian food, it is good to invest in one of these handy mashers :)
